From winning the his first Presidential Physical Fitness Award as a kid to involvement in school athletics such as football and track, Chris was always a fitness enthusiast even from a young age. While serving in the U.S. Marine Corps he served as the Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of weight control and fitness conditioning with the task of ensuring his fellow Marines met and maintained weight and fitness standards. This is when Chris first became interested in personal training as he began training individual Marines to help them reach their fitness goals. This assignment won Chris several letters of commendations from his superior officers for his outstanding service and knowledge. Chris also managed one of Camp Pendleton’s fitness centers.

Upon the completion of his tours in the Marines Chris became certified as a personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise and began taking on clientele in Louisville, KY. During that time he contracted out to several leading personal training companies and began his own personal training business. During this time Chris worked with clientele of a variety of populations to include those with crippling arthritis and those who were wheelchair bound. One of Chris’ clients even went on become a personal trainer herself after having experienced firsthand how it helped her obtain her fitness goals.

When Chris moved back to San Diego he began training clients in their homes again as well as training in large fitness centers throughout the area. He has been the guest speaker at 24 Hour Fitness on three separate engagements where he spoke on topics such as weight loss principles and goal setting. Chris also taught numerous fitness workshops at Bally Total Fitness that covered a wide variety of fitness issues and mentored many new trainers in their first months as trainers. Chris then joined the team at Fitness Together Del Mar in 2005 for a six month period.

In January of 2006 Chris launched Fitness2GO Personal Training into full-time status. Since then he has trained hundreds of folks who have benefited from his knowledge of exercise and nutrition as well as his unique style of training.

When not training Chris enjoys working out with his wife or rough-housing with his kids. Currently Chris’ fitness passion is Ultramarathoning. He has run races of 30 and 50 miles. In 2009 he will attempt to complete a 100 mile race in San Diego.
